Rare pictures of Werner " Vati " Mölders aircraft and the russian front
Hello fellows!
I would like to share with you something very very special ( at least for me ) that happened some nights ago. I'm a big and enthusiast fun of Werner " Vati " Mölders... Said this, I was, as often I do, on Facebook and at a certain point I'm been contacted by Herr Ed Schwall that saw one of my topics submitted on one of the groups of which I'm part of on it. Herr Ed Schwall, born on 19 March 1948, is the author of the book " My village in the city: How a family survived the World War Two then Came to America in Search of a Dream ". We started exchanging private messages among us via the Facebook Messenger and after a bit he told me " I have a special gift for you...something you may like about Werner " Vati " Mölders " ... Do not ask me why ( because I still can't believe it ) he provided me the incredible chance to share, in exclusive, some unknown facts and images about him, his father's life ( that served in the Luftwaffe during the World War Two ) and also about, my Luftwaffe preferred pilot, Werner " Vati " Mölders. I have published on my forum an article about this fully unexpected Facebook encounter that I would like too share with you all, because I think that this is something really special and that certainly doesn't happen every day. In it you will find never published before images about Werner " Vati " Mölders ( and not only! ) and some very peculiar stories about a soldier, the author's father, that served in the Luftwaffe during the World War Two...An incredible story about those times, recounted by one who lived that facts in first person. I really hope that you will like it, let me know your impressions and opinions about it! LINK TO THE ARTICLE: http://wernermolders.forumfree.it/?t=75359949 Salute to all! Horrido!!! Very interesting reading, but aircraft identification leaves a little to be desired. Two photos are from the invasion of Poland in 1939.

Not exactly. They were taken at Malaszewicze AFB (P.11c "white 4" and P.37 that was set alight in German propaganda movie) but probably in 1941.

I'm also trying to determine what kind of German aircraft is the one present in this photo but I'm not really sure...it seems to me a Junkers Ju 86 D....what do you think it could be?

Re: Rare pictures of Werner " Vati " Mölders aircraft and the russian front
The plane is a Heinkel He 111 bomber. It´s one of several versions prior the well know all glazed nose. Maybe someone can give you the exact version.
The Ju 52 early models where single engined but soon were changed for a 3 engines configuration that´s the well know version used on all battle fronts as well as several air lines in the civilian version. The ones you call Ju 52 are smaller planes Junkers W 34 or maybe Ju 46.

There appears to be an emblem on this early version of the He 111.

My best guess is a school machine. Hard to see the badge but the code may be a good hint.
