Fw. Frans Zorn kia 25 september 1944

Dear all,

I'm trying to verify some data on Fw Zorn
His Fw 190 Wn 580056 or Wn 580053 crashed in the river IJssel east of Arnhem on the 25th september 1944. Zorn washed up under the IJsselbridge at Deventer on 4th oktober 1944 and was buried at Enschede Heldenfriedhof.
I found his unit to be either 15./JG 11 or IV/JG 54.

Can anyone confirm Wn. or Unit?

TIA

He flew Fw 190A-8, WNr. 580053, and belonged to 15./JG 54 (which is IV. Gruppe). He was found under the IJsselbridge in Deventer on October 3rd, 1944 at 07.15 hrs. On October 4th buried in Enschede.

Hello Bas and John,
Zorn was buried at Enschede in Field 1, Grave 122A.
Now Ysselsteyn: Q-9-223
I think Zorn crashed in his aircraft in the IJssel river near Zutphen (near the new bridge) but I can't prove it because I have no documents of a recovery of a german a/c in the IJssel near Zutphen. I only have an
eyewitness report that says: september 1944!
