JGr 101 pilot killed on 18 November 1939
In the book "Die Jagdfliegerverbände der deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945, Teil 2: Der "Sitzkrieg", 1.9.1939 bis 9.5.1940", by Jochen Prien & al, there is the following loss:
On 18 November 1939 a pilot of 2./JGr 101 was killed when he crashed into the ground near Stade ("unfreiwilliger Bodenberührung" in German loss list). His Bf 109 E-3 WNr 864 was totally destroyed (100%). The name of the killed pilot was not known (listed as N.N). Just wondering if someone has found it since the book was released. Thanks in advance |

Thanks for replying. May I ask you your source, please ?
Edited: I found two death cards on fold3 for Borell now that you provide me this name. Interesting is the fact that both show him belonging to 3./JGr 101 |
