The objective of this post was to locate a photo of T/Sgt William C Aney. This has now been accomplished twice by Rolland Swank.
Not part of the original objective is what happened to William C Aney postwar. Some of that story is cover in the link below. In the end William Clarke Aney died while doing what he loved most flying. In his final flight his aircraft of choice was the Ryan Navion. Remembered here

He was Killed in a plane he was flying

Hi Gents,

Thank you 25Kingman49 (and Paul) for this additional information. I had noted that Bill Aney died in 1961 but I didn't know the circumstances.
