Luftwaffe markings on 109 G-6 March 1944

I don't have a copy of Schiffer's book on colours and markings of Luftwaffe aircraft.

Could someone tell me what colour the numbers would have been painted on a 109 G-6 flown by 7./Jagdgeschwader 2 in March 1944.

I know their defence of Reich band was yellow with a white band through it. Just need to know the colour of the aircarft's numbers, and any other markings it may have had.

Thank you in anticipation,

David.

Re: Luftwaffe markings on 109 G-6 March 1944

7./JG 2 was the 3rd of 4 Staffeln in II./JG 2 in March 44 and probably would have used yellow codes - '1 + -' for example, the cross of course being black or gray. It is very unlikely that JG 2 was using Reich bands at this time.

Standard fighter markings at the time (not infallible, of course) would have included a black (or black-green spinner?) and a yellow panel on the underside of the engine cowling.
