Seeking copy of FB and career info for Uffz Adalbert Schindler of II./JG52

Hello,

As part of the EOE Project effort to locate, scan and digitize all useful info in all 1939-40 Luft personnel flight logs, the EOE Working Group (WG) is trying to locate a FB for the above person. He may have been in 4 Staffel. Can anyone provide any help with either obtaining a copy of the FB, and/or provide any personal info on his career, particularly during 1939-40?

We now have identified about 600 FB in this category, presently have access to or copies of about 350 of these, and have about 100 digitized, which makes them searchable. This has contributed significantly to our EOE Luftwaffe loss/damages DB, as well as added quite a bit of plane W.Nr. and code info to our DB that was not previously known. This is a huge task, but well worth the effort. Among other things, this will eventually allow us to fill in a lot of the missing unit mission data for 1939-40 operations, especially for the Western Campaign of 1940, where a great deal of the useful info was destroyed during the war, or otherwise is missing.

Thanx for any help locating a copy of Schindler's FB,

Barbas shows him having 2 claims with 4 Staffel, a Fairey Battle on 14.5.40, and a Hurricane on 9.6.40.

This site has him with III./JG 52:

He later flew with JG 1 (as of 1943). He is sourced in Dr. Prien's JG 1/11 volume 1 as being interviewed in 1990.

Hi
I have him transferring to III./Jg1 as technical officer in July 1942, also flew with the training unit Jg105. Final rank I think was Leutnant.

Regards

Johannes

Hi,

Just came across this thread. Adalbert Schindler passed away on 17 August 2013, at the age of 103. See: http://www.esgfrankonia.de/files/111...4_2013_Web.pdf

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Andrew,

Thanx for updating me on Schindler's death. I've never been able to obtain a copy of his FB for the 1939-40 period for the EoE project. Perhaps someone out there can still help.
