U.S. MAQUIS MEMBERS

Boy is this a long shot, but what the heck. I am trying to track down any
USAAF flyers who were in a French Maquis in 1944. My father, a Lancaster rear gunner, fought alongside two Americans - Dan and Ben - in Maquis 15 in the hills west of Toul near Pont-a-mousson in the Lorraine province, Northern France. These men walked out of Germany after their B-17 was shot down. They were in the Maquis July - September 1944 before being picked up by an advanced unit of the American 4th Armoured Division.
Also any ideas where to find USAAF websites that might list losses and casualties?

Re: U.S. MAQUIS MEMBERS

Do you have your fathers Escape/Evasion Report or Liberation questionaire from the UK National Archives?

He may identify them in his report?

Whats your fathers name, he might be linked to them in a book or website?

is this him:
3323 2420 (-)
F/Sgt A C Kirk
75 Sqn Lancaster ND576
Lost on operation to Stuttgart July 44

This book is available on Google books,
Air Forces Escape & Evasion Society

Two Benjamins mentioned seem to be
Benjamin L O'Dell and Benjamin H St. John but neither page is in the free to view section!!
