Sgt. J.P.J. Bielefeldt, Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service 1940
Hallo,
This pilot was unhurt in the forced landing of Anson K6285 of 321 Squadron on 9/10 August 1940. Could anyone please help me with his full Christian names and Dutch naval rank ? Regards, Martin Gleeson. |

Martin,
Mr P.E. van Loo of the Neth. Inst. of Mil. Hist. probably may have an answer. (penningmeesterATstudiegroepluchtoorlogDOTnl). Replace AT and DOT by obvious. Regards, Henk. |

Re: Sgt. J.P.J. Bielefeldt, Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service 1940
Martin,
Don't need to ask Mr van Loo; I found BIELEFELDT in my files. He was a Sergeant-Vlieger Koninklijke Marine (Sgt Pilot RNAS), first name was Johan, further initials P.J., born 23-11-1910, servicenumber 12682, he was killed 30-8-1941 on Hudson T9380. Will come up later with another link to this naval airman. Regards, Henk. |

Re: Sgt. J.P.J. Bielefeldt, Royal Netherlands Naval Air Service 1940
Martin,
His familyname was BIELFELDT (not BIELEFELDT) and his first names Johan Pieter Jurgen. Go to: http://www.ogs.nl, klick on 'Slachtofferregister', write behind 'Achternaam' (= Familyname) Bielfeldt and behind 'Voorletters' (= Initials) J.P.J. (with dots). Klick on 'Zoeken' (= Search) and klick on his family name Bielfeldt. At your service, Henk. |

Also have on file that he came off course, crashlanded on the beach of Pendine Sands, Dyfed, hit anti-invasion obstacles and glided into sea. Anson wreckage recovered; became 2398M.
