I had the pleasure of meeting him some years ago and got a signed copy of his book .

Unfortunately, I did not have the pleasure of meeting him. (If I had met him, I might have been able to ask him some questions about his friend Friedrich Rupp, who is the greatest love of my life and about whom, unfortunately, relatively little is known.)
Poor Hans! Actually, even at an advanced age, death is a very sad event...

I was in correspondence with Ekkehard many years ago. He sent me his abschüße list, but this was lacking the exact dates of his last two claims, but I did find these on the micro films, talking of these I did find all of Friedrich Albert Ragnar Rupp's fifty-one confirmed claims. E.mail me(and anybody else) at Matthews.Huang.168@talktalk.net and I'll forward you all I have on the guy. I do agree with Ekkehard's death he was by memory ninety-six, and piloted into his nineties. I believe he owned the company BOMAG.
