Eastern Front "Bodenplatte" ?
In the (old) Motorbuchverlag-book on Stuka-units, there is mentioned a quite big airfield-attack by the Schlachtfliegers in 1945 somewhere in the East, I think Hungary.
Also, Lipfert in his diary talks about such an attack with the whole Gruppe, IIRC with II./JG52. If it was II./JG52, it muct have taken place before 15.02.45, because after that L. was leading I./JG53. Does anyone have any fact about this operation? |
