Young Kurt Buehligen?

Found this picture on E_Bay. Sure looks like a young Buhligen.

Re: Young Kurt Buehligen?

I had never seen it before. However, I do have lots of reference works and a history of JG-2 so I compared it to others of Herr Buehligen.

This brings up a case in point. I regularly scan German E-Bay militaria under "Flugzeug" to find interesting pictures. I also do the same on US E-Bay.
Some of the photos I find on German E-Bay I recognize from my reference works as being copies. If they're interesting, I copy them for my personal use.
Is this wrong? Am I committing an illegal act, in some form or fashion?
Bear in mind that I'm not selling them or sending them to other people.

Re: Young Kurt Buehligen?

Hi,

Pardon the promotion, but this photo also appears in our biography of Kurt Bühligen, which can be downloaded here: http://airwarpublications.com/earticles/biographies/

As for your question, no, I don't think you're doing anything wrong by saving photos from eBay and storing them on your computer for your own use.

Cheers,
Andrew A.

Re: Young Kurt Buehligen?

Thank you Andrew, I was hoping someone would say that. It's fun to try and identify some of these photos.
