Re: KGr.806 on 1.June 40
On 1. June 1940 a total of 8 He 111J from 1., 2. and 3./806 took off from Ütersen for a North Sea patrol. This included W.Nr. 5050 M7+AK of 2./806. This aircraft made a forced landing at sea near Doggerbank. The entire crew of four got into the dinghy and was later recued by He 59D/N W.Nr. 1726 D-ASUO. The crew, apparently unhurt, included Hptm. Hagne, Fw. Hegener, Uffz. Braune and Fw. Lindhorst.
