BV140 damaged in combat 10 August 1940
Hi guys
According to Larry Donnelly's The Other Few, on 10 August a Hudson of 220 Squadron engaged a BV140 seaplane off Cromer, both aircraft retiring with damage but apparently no casualties. Any details would be appreciated please. Cheers Brian |

At 1635 hrs, P/220 Sqn engaged an Ha 140 in YZSC 2420. No claim was filed against the German aircraft but the Hudson was slightly damaged

Thanks Chris
Do we know that the seaplane was a BV Ha140, and if so from which unit? Cheers Brian |

Unlikely as only 3 were ever build from what I can see. I am sure that Seaplanes or someone similar will put us all right
