NASM Renovation Notification

Smithsonian's NASM Mall building in Washington DC, ( not Udvar-Hazy ) will begin a 7-year renovation this December. Seven different galleries will be closed during this time, including the WWII gallery and Sea-Air Operations. Not exactly sure how much will be blocked from viewing, but this would include the P-51, Spitfire, Bf109G, Macchi 202, Zero, F4F Wildcat, and an SBD Dauntless. Also display cases with Flight Uniforms, etc.

Just wanted to give a heads up in case anyone is planning to visit that building in the near and 7-year future.

Tony
