Junker , I only have the William Kimber English edition 'The Diving Eagle' which finishes with last date as 8 June 1941 , I take it the German edition covers up to his KG 200 period,

The German edition covers up to autum 1944. Another covers the period with KG 200.

Hello Brian,

in P W Stahl’s book (chapter 28 Aug 1942, pages 229-259) neither the loss of the 4D+IP/WNr. 1777 nor the loss of the 4D+AN/WNr. 2148 (Flechner crew) are mentioned.

Regards
Leo

Hello Leo,

Thanks for the info., in The Diving Eagle Stahl often made reference to a lost crew . I had thought this might have been the case for 28th Aug.1942 with a Hpt. missing and a second crew returning ,

Stahl's KG 200 service was covered in a separate book in German ("Geheimgeschwader KG 200 , Die Wahrheit nach über 30 Jahren", 1978) and in English ("KG 200, The True Story", 1981).
