II./JG1 and I./JG11 FW 190 losses 21 February 1944

Hi all !
According to an American PoW's war diary a FW 190 (probably from II./JG1 or I./JG11) was shot down near Hannover, around 14.00 on 21 February 1944 and never claimed as the author was shot down himself a few time later, bailed out and got PoW.
Information about II./JG1 and I./JG11 FW 190 losses that day, time, and location will be wellcome.
Thanks for help.
Thierry

Re: II./JG1 and I./JG11 FW 190 losses 21 February 1944

Hi Peglar
More details about the losses near Osnabrück ? Possibly a relation with 356th FS claims (two FWs destroyed, one damaged )
In the area Stadthagen-Wunstorf, around 14.00h only Green Flight of 353rd FS was taken to task by 25+ FWs (According to German claims from 4./JG 1, 6./JG 1 and 3./JG 11). Maybe only a damaged FW ?
Lt John Mattie was leading the second element of Green Flight (Rottenführer?!)
when he was shot down and got PoW.
Thanks
Thierry

Great ! Thank you very much.
I found one more in Erik Mombeeck's JG1 history : Fw Otto Schmid II./JG1 (Staffel unknown) badly wounded succeeded to return and land at Rheine.
Nochmals vielen Dank,
Regards, Thierry
