Chaz Bowyer Copyright Query

There is a photo of Gilbert W. Murlis-Green in the book Air Defence of Britain 1914-1918 by Cole and Cheesman, credited to Chaz Bowyer that I would be interested in reproducing.

Does anyone know who holds copyright over Chaz Bowyer's images today and where/how reproduction permission might be requested, please?

Alternatively, does anyone have contact with the authors, Christopher Cole and E. F. Cheesman, please, as there is a second photo of Murlis-Green in the same book with no credit?

Some of Chaz’s photos were bought up by Simon Parry who has then been selling them off so who has what and copyright is anyone’s guess. I am afraid the authors are not familiar to me

The Cole & Cheeseman book is excellent but a long time ago now (1984). However, it might be worth putting a query over on Great War Forum where there is a lot of expertise. Ian Castle is active there for example (he wrote two books about the raids on London for Osprey and has published the first two of a trilogy on the 1914–18 raids on Britain as a whole).

My first thoughts were to advise you to contact Norman Franks. On checking "Above the Trenches" there is a photo of M-G in there which is credited to Norman but it is not the same as the image I can find in Cole and Cheeseman.

I have a snail mail address for Norman but don't seem to be able to find an email.

I have Above the Trenches, but all my books are in storage at the moment, as a result of major renovations being undertaken here at home, courtesy of a pipe bursting in a bathroom in our absence and running for several hours unchecked :-(

I should have an e-mail address for Norman somewhere as we exchange e-mails on common interests intermittently. I'll see if I can find it and will drop him a line.
