Soviet Aircraft Identification.
This random image of a Soviet machine came from a large collection of photographs formerly belonging to a Bordfunker with 7./KG 1.
What interests myself in this image is the 'Fire Extinguisher' sign, written in English as opposed to Russian, leading myself to believe it is a British or American produced machine (?). My question is, is it possible at all to identify the aircraft type from this image at all? Any help really will be very much appreciated indeed. |

Re: Soviet Aircraft Identification.
The English lettering does give it away.

Re: Soviet Aircraft Identification.
re : first image
the elliptical window definitely gives it away as an A-20 Boston. evidence of a two-color camouflage scheme most likely means a Boston MK III transferred to the Soviets under the Lend-Lease agreements. |
