spring 1938 he was posted to the Kato chutai in the 2nd Daitai in China.
20. May 1938 claimed a I-15 over Lanfeng. In June 1939 the unit becomes the 64th Sentai, 15 August arrived at Hoisu airfield (Mongolian -Manchurian border area) Here he led the third element of the 1st chutai.During the Monohan Incidient Anma undertake 40 sorties, participating in more then 10 engagements and claiming 3 and 2 probables. In August 40 he was promoted Captain and given command of the 3rd chutai. 8. April 1942 at Loiwing strafing and setting fire to 3 aircraft on the ground, they were bounced by AVG Tomahawks and four Ki 43s lost including Anmam at time of his death he claimed 12 victories.
