W 3833 Holt XI Spitfire Vb 332 sqn AH-E 24-7-1942
North Weald/Essex Rhubarb
Flak - crashte tegen een woonhuis aan de Duiveslagstraat te Brugge - ± 15.00u
Sgt(P) MALM, Eirik R. -(12-6-1915) - RNoAF - Oslo (Vestre Gravlund - 27-6-1942)
AT2-48/49+BG-53(twijfel aan juistheid locatie)+
Bericht van Olav Hunges via 12 O’Clock High - Discussion Board:
Sgts Marius Eriksen and Eirik Rolfson Malm went on Rhubarb in Belgium, first attacking cannon emplacements, then turned their attention to a train that was attacked several times and destroyed. Sgt Malm came in too low on one strafe and made contact with a tank carriage and crashed. Sgt Eriksen considered that Malm had been hit by flak earlier during the ops. The code of W3833 was AH-E. Site was about 3 miles W of Bruges. Extracted from various Norwegian sources. I don’t know how the remains of Sgt Malm were taken care of.

The above is from one of Henk's lists.
