Re: Carlo Marlow
John,
Carlo is an Honoree of the American Fighter Aces Association, so you might try the contact page on our website at https://www.americanfighteraces.org/ His twin brother died almost ten years ago. I think he gave away his photo collection; not sure where, or even certain that he did donate it. Before 9/11 he was going to give it to the Pentagon for display in the hallways, but the powers that be there decided that it was too risky to keep his collection in what had become a target. Haven't seen him at an AFAA convention is a number of years. According to Hubert's obituary he would now be about 85 years old. Enjoy! Frank.

Re: Carlo Marlow
I phoned with him often in the 70's and 80's, when I was first invited to what became decades of LW reunions, publicized and private. He was grateful when I could pass along messages/material both ways. A real good guy in many ways. He had a fellow who was invited to some reunions whom he exchanged with, but I've not seen him since '82. Carlo told me he was 'one day' he'd catalog what he had, but ? I'd not be surprised if the collection was sent to Germany, a very well to do private fellow, whom a friend from a squadron reunion knows well. Perhaps when I next visit I'll meet him, and report back here.
Best wishes, be well. |
