German town name

I have another puzzler from a combat report by a 404 Fighter Group pilot, dated November 18, 1944. He claimed a Me 410 damaged northeast of Meschede, which I easily found on the internet. However, earlier in his report he mentions strafing a train in a marshalling yard at Maas (pretty sure that is what is written); I have had no luck finding such a town in Germany or even neighboring countries. Is there a Maas or was he just way off on his spelling? Thanks for any help on this one.

Re: German town name

There is a history of the 404th FG on line here:

http://www.winkton.net/Leap%20Off/LeapOffPdf3.pdf

Events of November 18th are on page 102 - 103.

If I am reading it correctly Leroy Graham made the claim of some hits on the Me 410.
His earlier claims were a bridge at Arnsberg and rail cars and locomotives in Meschede (Marshalling yard).
It appears that the Me 410 was spotted just as he pulled up from the run on Meschede.

I took another look at the report and magnified it a lot more--these old eyes were wrong, it wasn't Maas, he did write Meschede. Thanks to both of you, though, for the assistance.
