Re: Photos 6-27, part two of two

Hello All,

Thanks Ed, for the great photos.

I'm particularly interested by the Fi 99 Tiger at http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=150264380303
Unfortunately the Stkz seems to be reversed in the photo.Has anyone complete Stkz for any of the prototypes?

Regards,

Clint

Hi Guys

Wonder if Ed has not out did himself this time. Top of the pops in my opinion is this Avia 71 in German "civil registration"
http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=310062301820
Anyone who knows more??

Clint
Don't believe what e-bay states. What you are looking at is an Arado 79.

Cheers
Stig

Re: Photos 6-27, part two of two

Hi, folks...

The two links below from Ed's recent offerings apparently show Dornier Do17Ms. I'm curious about them due to the fact that both seemingly have front line markings (fuselage band on one, and yellow cowlings on the other) and 5.Staffel/KG3's unit badge uder the cockpit.

Can anyone confirm that these early version Dorniers were still operational with KG3 at the time of what seems to be 1941, possibly Balkans campaign or early on in 'Barbarossa' ?

Thanks in advance, oh, and to Ed as well for another great selection of photos...

Re: Photos 6-27, part two of two

Dear Ed,

You got a real gem for an old '109 buff like me with this bird:

http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=260255850133

I would think of one of the former JG 77 Me 109 G-10 or K-4, then handed over to JG 52, thus sporting the yellow nose band, and probably having landed in Neubiberg on 8th May 1945....

Any other pointer or confirmation?

Thanks and cheers

Marc

According to LEMB member Hemingis, this code was applied for a transfer flight to Bulgaria, in Spring 1940. For those interested, we have a long thread on B.71/SB bombers used by the Luftwaffe here
