unidentified unit/pilot
Hi enthusiasts
I have a mikrofilm anomaly to try to solve. On 4th July 1944 a claim is made for a Halifax at 0215 hrs. however there is no unit given, but an anerk.nr 19. It's for a Leutnant, name looks rather like "Bock" or "Boch". Looking through all the NJG units I found what could be a match with the anerk for 6./NJG 101, and have an unidentified pilot Leutnant "Bock" or "Boch" making a claim at 0144 hrs 17th April 1943 with 7./NJG 101. I am 95% sure it's the same unidentified pilot. If the mikrofilms were in error i.e the 4th July 1944 claim was actually 4th July 1943 instead, I would say it was Leutnant Heinz Bock(geb 29.11.1921)making both claims. There was often a duplication with NJG units on the mikrofilms with 1942 and 1943, so it could be, could well be. Any thoughts ? Re: unidentified unit/pilot
Hi Guys
I checked the superb British Bomber losses, and there were none for 1944, therefore as the time and type match 1943, that is what it is. Both claims for Leutnant Heinz Bock as his first two. Thanks for any time you made thinking about this one. Kind Regards Happy Johannes |
