Unknown RAF Bomber - ID?

a picture of a shot down RAF bomber. 1943-1945 markings RAF roundel. An "A" with another letter only partially visible(X,Y?)

Can anyone identify?

Just a thought: Stirling. The letter combination may be AA, which stands for 75 Squadron.

Do you have any more information on the photo, I notice that it is titled Halifax. Do you have a location for the photo?

Unfortunately, no further information. The photo title was just a quick guess, as its obviously a 4 eng RAF Bomber. Naturally, it's from an E-Bay auction.

For comparison, a guessed Stirling wreck (because of the horizontal aerial under the "F").
