There is a camouflage net over the fuselage and tarpaulin cover over the cabin. It is virtually impossible to say the unit, and even guessing the type is difficult enough. I would say that it might have been France or Belgium, May-June 1940, other than that...

Sorry to disagree, Sidney, but to me the coolant header tank and engine bearer look like a Bf 109 F, so it couldn't be June 1940.

Gents,

I'v found the same picture in Dr. J.Prien's book "Chronik des JG 53 Pik-As - Band 1" on page 326. The caption says that these are probably a/c belonging to the Gruppenstab of II./JG 53 around the 20 juni 1941 at Neusiedel. Foto originated from Petrick.
