Rességuier de Miremont
Question to Larry or anyone else:
Graf Rességuier de Remiremont There are two of them : - Alexander - Karl Unfortunately, no date nor place of birth. Both were posted to I./JG 300 (or JG Herrmann), then transfered to I./NJG 5 at the same time. Not impossible but a strange coincidence. Were they brothers or were they the same person? Thanks in advance. Chris |

Re: Rességuier de Miremont
Possibly, but one of his ancestors was made Graf in Germany, as Rességuier de Remiremont is not a French nobleman's surname.

Alexander :
http://www.jg300.de/resseguier.html http://www.ejection-history.org.uk/p...s/1945.htm#apr http://genealogy.richardremme.com/tn...85&tree=tree01 http://geneall.net/fr/title/5524/com...r-de-miremont/ Had a brother (and a sister), but data are undisclosed(privacy rules). Karl seems a bit elusive. |

Re: Rességuier de Miremont
Chris,
I think you didn't get my point: You wrote REMIREMONT for MIREMONT hence my joke with les Vosges. ... Mais passons. ... And, yes, you're wrong, Alexander Graf Rességuier de Miremont comes from an old French noble family; the Austrian branch created (by marriage) during XVIII century. |

On the mervellous book JG 300 Vol.1 by J-LY LORANT there are some pictures of that particular airman on I/JG 300. https://www.amazon.com/300-Wilde-Sau.../dp/0976103400 Adriano B. |

Contact the German publisher C A Starke Verlag, e-mail starkeverlag(at)t-online.de
This company publish books on the subject of German nobility, and they can no doubt explain and comment upon the relationship between the two Rességuiers. |
