Wellington JA118 432 Squadron

Hi All,

I,m looking for more info about Wellington JA118 432 Squadron.
This plane crashed on August 31th 1943 after a raid to Mönchengladbach Germany.
Is it possible that this plane where shot down by Hptm Hans Dieter Frank and crashed at Suggerath-Geilenkirchen Germany ??????

Thanks in advance,

Michel

Re: Wellington JA118 432 Squadron

I've as a possible crash location a wooded area NW of Keppeln, about 3 km N of Uedem. The crew were initially buried at Mönchengladbach 7-9-1943 (four of the graves have an inscription 'Buried near this spot' which means that the Grave Concentration Units (GCU's) at the time had their problems).
Regards,
Henk.

This taken from a casualty file: Shot down by a night fighter crashing at Rath-Anhoven, 13 km south west of Monchen-Gladbach. There was no other details.
