Bf 110 losses 24.02.1944
Dear colleagues,
I am looking for details about the crashsite of a Messerschmidt Bf 110. On the 24. February 1944 probably one of the Bf-110 of the Nachtjagdgeschwader 3 crashed near the Oldendorf/Heinbockel/Sunde area in the vicinity of Stade. Are there any information of missing/crashed Bf110 this day and their crew? Best Regards, Niklas |

Re: Bf 110 losses 24.02.1944
Moien Niklas,
you men the 8th AAF raids against various targets? (Schweinfurt etc.)? The only Bf 110 I know is that from Luftbeobachterstaffel/NJG 3. Lost near Erfut. FF bailed out, Bordfunker bailed out, but KIA. The two other Groups from NJG 3 have no success or loss. h. |

Re: Bf 110 losses 24.02.1944
Hello Niklas,
The date is wrong: 08. October 1943, Bf110 E-2 WNr. 2430, 7./NJG 3 crashed during an enemy flight. The Messerschmidt crashed at Heinbockel, and explodet in the Sunder Wald. Pilot Fw Walter Plath and his radio operator were able to parachute down. Regards Padu |
