Gert Sprenger, 1/JG3.
Can anyone please confirm if Oblt. Gert Sprenger was captured or missing on 16.05.1941?
Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries says: SPRENGER, Gerhard (Gerd). 01.10.39 promo to Oblt. 16.05.41 Oblt., Staka 1./JG 3 POW - Bf 109 F-2 shot down by Hurricanes over the Channel by Folkstone. 01.08.44 officially listed as MIA. Thank you.

16.5 1./J.G. 3 F unbekannt unbekannt Bf 109 F2 5446 (weisse 4) 100 Obltn. Sprenger, Gert (Staff.-Kptn.) F - - 1(1) He was listed as missing and there was no further correction. best regards, Jim
