Need help retracing context: 1950, on an airfield in Berlin, RAF uniform and British journalist
My grandfather was a British journalist working for the Daily Express, and he traveled all over Europe for work. He is the 4th person from the left, and the 3rd person from the left is his wife. We don't have much information about the picture besides the fact it was probably taken in the 1950's in Berlin, on an airfield. Can anyone spot any details which might help us identify the context ? Any suggestions very appreciated !

Re: Need help retracing context: 1950, on an airfield in Berlin, RAF uniform and British journalist
Was your grandfather Sefton Delmer?
It looks like the RAF man (with is wife?) being met has a Distinguished Flying Cross and a 1939-1945 Star on his top ribbon row. Not sure about the next row or whether there is anything there that would help identify him. We can probably also determine his rank Possibly taken at Gatow Airport, Berlin? We can probably also determine the rank of the military man on the left, which might help. |

Names of grandfather and wife would certainly help. If Delmer indeed and pictured wife Isabel, then photo not too long after end of WW 2 since they divorced in 1946?
