Re: Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich

Thanks Col.
The website's still a bit of a tease as it gives no real details! Just lots of potential. I have his Classic Publications volume, and it's an interesting read though, understandably, a little sparse on some details - hence his comment of "....raising more questions than answers", I suppose.
Hopefully, a table of contents and perhaps some preview pages (thru google-books or Amazon perhaps) might be presented closer to publication date.

Re: Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich

Unless this book is a limited printing, I suggest putting it up on amazon.co.uk
However, I can also understand why this may not be desirable.

I am wondering how on Earth it's possible to assemble 870 illustrations of this very short lived project? It looks like an outstanding achievement.
It's almost a rule: "the fewer they built, the bigger the book".

Re: Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich

Nick,

I am hoping for much more than that. Especially in light of the fact that the previous book by Dr. Gooden, Projekt Natter, was 144 pages. That book is now selling for $200 and up on the secondary market.

Best,
Ed

Re: Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich

Update and I do fault the related web site for not giving a day date.
"Update: our printers advise that ‘Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich’ is being despatched and the bulk delivery should arrive in the UK warehouse next week. Our distributors will then be shipping pre-orders."
Based on my reading of a previous note, the books should start shipping on Monday.

It looks as if you can still get it at the Duxford Show: https://www.aviation-bookshop.com/hub.htm

Also it's listed on the shop's new releases pages.

Re: Natter: Manned Missile of the Third Reich

"Important Message from the Author/Publisher
Firstly I would like to thank all those who have already purchased a copy of my book ‘Natter. Manned Missile of the Third Reich’. I hope it has lived up to your expectations.
Due to the unexpected and overwhelming demand for the book the sole distributor Bookworld Wholesalers have advised that the first printing has almost sold out.
As readers who have seen the book will appreciate, this has been an expensive book to self-publish.
However I would seriously consider a further reprint if the number of further orders justified it.
So if you would like a copy please submit your order to Bookworld Wholesalers”.
Dr Brett Gooden"
