French biplane 'D082' in June 1940.
I am trying to identify a French biplane, possibly a Potez 25, with the large underwing 'D0 82' markings in white. It was abandoned during June 1940 at Houssay landing ground. Usually seen in photos with three abandoned or burnt Fairey Battles.
Any details on the unit or its history would be of great interest to me. Regards, Martin Gleeson. |

Hi Martin,
If markings under wing (Matricule Militaire ) are noted D082, it is Potez 25 A2 n°2284. Alas in the book on Potez 25 (Lela 1996) the production list does not give info for this 2284.... Bertrand |

Hello Bertrand,
Thanks for that new and helpful information. It must have been a second-line aircraft, probably only recently moved to Houssay. Regards, Martin. |
