The Bf 109 in post #983 looks as if it might be René Darbois' W.Nr. 160756, KT+LL, yellow 4 of I./JG 4. The skyline matches a shot I have of that aircraft.

#981 The first He111 has a camouflage scheme reminiscent of TG30 when supplying the isolated French Atlantic stongholds in 1945.

It almost certainly is a TGr. 30 machine — there was another photo of it in James V. Crow's collection. The code fusleage code appears to be +IL (probably S3+IL) but there is a "K" on the rudder.

An S3+IL made a flight to Guernsey on 9/10 December 1944; S3+KL flew to St. Nazaire on 17/18 March 1945. However, all 3./TGr. 30 machines were supposed to go to North Germany when the Allies crossed the Rhine, leaving the other two Staffeln in Bavaria. So this particular plane wound up in the "wrong" place.
