LtCol Alfred Nelson Gordon USMC
This pilot led VMF-222 1943-44. Did he claim any aerial victories?
As this is my third request in quick succession I should state my interest. I am researching George Chamberlain Duncan (Annapolis '39) and the three pilots I have asked about (all of whom died in the service) were his classmates. Sadly quite a few of his classmates failed to survive the war. A considerable number were killed in submarines and not a few died as USMC officers made POW in 1942. regards Keith |
