Fleet Air Arm 795th & 796 th Squadron

Hi
I'm looking for diaries or sortie reports of the FAA 795th and 796th squadrons between March,1942,1st and November, 1942, 30th.
I'm also looking for diaries or sortie reports of the 1433 Flight of the 207 Group.
If somebody can help me, I would be very grateful to him.
Best regards
Franck

Re: Fleet Air Arm 795th & 796 th Squadron

I thought the Fleet Air Arm Squadrons numbered in the 700 series were second line or training units. In which case would they have Operational record books?

Sorry, I meant to add: I would suggest you write to the Fleet Air Arm museum at Yeovilton.
Good hunting!

Big mistake

Thank you very much
for this clarification but I think I do a mistake: they aren't FAA Sqdn but Royal Navy Sqdn. They were flying Fulmar and Albacore during this period.
Regards
Franck

The FAA (Fleet Air Arm) is that part of the Royal Navy (RN) which is concerned with aviation, so saying number XXX FAA squadron is the same as saying number XXX squadron of the Royal Navy.

Thank you for this precision. I do not know the organization of Royal Navy a lot. In the text which I study, it is Fleet Air Arm's question by moment then of Royal Navy. Where from my incomprehension.
