Obergefreiter Josef Amman 1st Oct 1944

This man is reported to have died on this date on the "Flugplatz Betschkerek-Etschka", in Banat area, Serbia.

If anyone has the personnal loss files of the Luftwaffe for this period (always forgot their German names), I would like to know if they can find an incident related to this death.

Thanks in advance

Hi Vladimir,
originally Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur E 32/XIII.
In October 1942 renamed Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A 209/XII.
Reformed September 1943 in Gross Betschkerek from Fliegerhorst Kommandantur A 209/XII. On 1. April 1944 renamed Fliegerhorst-Kommandantur A (o) 113/XVII. Was disbanded in December 1944.

Hope this is what you are looking for.

Regards,

Norbert

Re: Obergefreiter Josef Amman 1st Oct 1944

Hello Vladimir,

My original question was asked after I found this man on the Volksbund website (searching for someone else, as often on the Web) and saw his death location indicated as an airfield. I so wondered if he was an aircrew killed in a crash or not.

Sadly I am only interested in air losses and had nothing to add about what happened on this airfield on 1 October 1944.

Best regards
