Location where 603 SQ Pilot JR Caister who crash landed 6.9.40 in France
Hello,
Am trying to code into a data base the information on the crash-landing in France of PO JR Caister of 603 SQ on 6.9.40. Was his first name John? Also, exactly where in France did his aircraft force land? His plane was then taken to a Luftwaffe airfield and photographed there, possibly the AF of I./JG 54, which was the field from which the pilot that shot him down, Hptm von Bonin, was flying. Can anyone confirm where the photos on the Luftwaffe AF were taken? Once source says it is an airstrip S. of Guines. Campagne-lés-Guines? Thanks for any assistance. |
