Vladimir Bocharov- I-16-SCW-Chopped into Pieces
In the new Osprey book "Polikarpov I-15, I-153 and I-16 Aces" by Mikhail Maslov, there is the information that Lt Bocharov, a I-16 pilot was "chopped into pieces" by the Nationalist and boxed up.It was then parachuted into Madrid, This happened on November 13,1936.
Does anyone have more information? This happened after he landed his I-16 after battle damage. |
