Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT

Hello,

I got the information that Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT was at Grossenheim [possibly Grossenhain as there was no Grossenheim] on 18 September 1944 with Fl.Ü.G.1. Source was an old thread at either TOCH or LEMB. The original source is unknown, but most likely a Flugbuch.

Can anybody confirm this information? Does anybody have information about KA+WT or other KA+W* Ju 88?

Thank you.

Roger

Re: Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT

That was a G-6 622320, he spent some time in Rechlin in nov. 44, nd lot of more with I.NJG4, from end jan. to at least end of march 45, nothing in sept. I doubt that plane was completed in september ...
The others in this serie KA+W., for there production are scaterred between nov, oct ??, to Jan.45, these planes are rather documented, production, use , loss...

Re: Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT

Thanks Rémi. Do you mean that the KA+W? aircraft did not come from one block of serial numbers but have non-adjacent serial numbers?

I am asking since I am trying to find information about KA+WW. I could only find the piece of information about KA+WT in my original post and hoped to derive the W.Nr. of KA+WW if the W.Nr. of KA+WT is known. However, if the serial numbers of KA+W? were not adjacent to each other, that wouldn't work.

Not at all, Roger, block seems complete, only production seems to hv spead in a pretty large time, KA+WW was 622323, arrived at III.NJG4 beg. febr.45 an became 3C+AS, documented till 23.March with this unit , given by one source in Dessau , so in factory in march 45, but seems odd !!!

Re: Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT

OK, thanks.

KA+WW appears in the logbook of a Junkers factory pilot on 16 March 1945. So, I tend to believe that KA+WW was not 622323 if 622323 was still with NJG 4 on 23 March.

May I ask what the source for the W.Nr. - St.Kz. match for KA+WT is? Maybe the source is incorrect and the W.nr. - St.Kz. match is wrong for KA+WT (and consequently also for KA+WW).

Re: Ju 88 G-6 KA+WT

Source is the log-book of Junkers pilots...+ extrapolation + uncomplete roasters of the units
