Abbreviation: BKL

Anyone know this one? I guess it's [something]kampflinie, or is it just a misreading of HKL?

Re: Abbreviation: BKL

There is a Bkl (Bekleidung) and Bkl (AHA) (Heeresbekleidungsabteilung) which are abbreviations for clothing and Army Clothing Section of the General Army Office.

There is also Bkl.O (Bekleidungsordnung) which is a clothing regulation.

Re: Abbreviation: BKL

Hi Nick,

I know just this meaning :

HKL - HauptKampfLinie

Main battle Linie

BKL O. means BekleidungsOrdnung
Something like military dress code

Best, Rainer

Re: Abbreviation: BKL

Hi Nick,

If you give the context in which the BKL abbreviation was used, perhaps someone will be able to decipher it?

Regards,
Sinisa

Re: Abbreviation: BKL

I'm fairly certain it was a misreading of HKL but I was trying to think what a B might stand for — »Behelfskampflinie« or something. The original text was »die spärlichen Meldungen der Flugmeldeposten in der BKL«
