JG2 Loss 14 July 1943
A 109 of 12/JG2 crashed in the vicinity of La Chapelle-du-Bois-des-Faulx on July 14, 1943, after the German pilot apparently bailed out following an engagement with USAAF B-17s. Anyone have the pilot's name and details of his encounter?

Unfortunately, there does not appear to be much information available about this incident. Die Jagdfliegerverbände der Deutschen Luftwaffe 1934 bis 1945 Teil 10/IV has the following: 14 July 1943: Bf 109 G-4 (W.Nr. 19 794) flown by an unknown pilot of 12./JG 2 who baled out following aerial combat, crashed at La Capelle, 100% I hope this helps you a little!
