5th Air Force Presidential Unit Citation

A local WWII veteran is trying to locate documentation for his outfit's Presidential unit citation. The Unit was 5th Air Force, 71st bomb group, 17 squadron flying B-25s in the SW Pacific. The action was Battle of Wiaos (sic?) on June 8, 1944. The crew member's name is Fred Rimmer. I am looking for any documentation related to the presidential citation. I am not knowledgeable on this type Of US Army Air Force material. Could it be located at the USAF HRA at Maxwell. Any help would be appreciated.

Best Regards,

Artie Bob

The B-25J owned by the Palm Springs Air museum is painted has "Mitch the Witch" of the 17th. They likely would have info. I do beleive the Sqd received the DUB/PUC.
