Flying boat claimed by 28 april 1942 by 272 Squadron
On that morning two pilots of 272 squadron claimed to have shot down a Do.18 each (source: Fighters over the desert). I think that one (or the only) victim of the RAF pilots could have been an italian CZ.501 that was badly damaged after having been attacked by three "Blenheim".
Does anyone may tell me whether on this date there were one or two Luftwaffe flyingboat lost in North Africa? Thank you Gianandrea |

No Luftwaffe seaplane was reported lost or damaged on this date. The nearest is a Do 24 of 6. Seenotstaffel lost on 1 May, 1942.
