HALIFAX L9531 MP-R

Hello, I'm looking for the MACR report on this crash. Can anyone help? Or does someone have more detailed information about how the crash came about?

HALIFAX L9531 MP-R crash 12/13 August 1941

Best regards from Germany

Marcel

Re: HALIFAX L9531 MP-R

There is some information here, search for L9531 and scroll up and down a little, the whole link is the history of the pilot, Whitfield:

There would not be a "MACR" for this loss as this was an RAF Plane not USAAF.

Thank you for your link. I know the page. He is still unclear whether the machine was already shot down on the way or was on the way back. Do you have any information about that? Best regards

Marcel

Marcel

Take off is listed as 21.34H (UK time) and the claim by Hans Autenrieth as 03.16H (German time)

Feels like the aircraft was homeward bound

Cheers
Stig

The AIR81 file on the loss of this aircraft was opened earlier this year.
