Erg.KGr.(J) losses 15 March and 19 March 1945

Hello,

I am looking for information about the following two fatal losses of Erg.KGr.(J):

15 March 1945 Uffz. Förster: crashed near Ansbach after a poor landing
19 March 1945 Gefr. Bauer: crashed northwest of Nurnberg

Is there anything known about these losses?

Thanks,

Roger

I have 14 March 1945 Uffz. Karl Förster from 3./Erg.KG (J) killed at Fl.Pl. Ansbach. No other info.

No info on Gefr. Bauer

Hi Matti,

Thank you! The information orginates from a POW interrogation. It seems the POW did tell the truth (he may have not remembered the exact date, but at least Uffz. Förster was indeed killed during an accident). The POW mentioned that until 19 March 1945 Erg.KGr(J) only had to fatal accidents, but on average 2 non lethal accidents per day.

Roger,

there was an enquiry about Bauer in the Jägerblatt 1/2010 and replies in the following two issues.

from my notes: 18.03.1945 - Bf 109 - 3./Erg.KG(J) - "Haidberg" near Zell - Gefr. Hans-Joachim Bauer - killed.

Maybe sombody could check the regarding issues again...

Hope this helps,

Heuser
