LW pilot license inquiry.

My hobby is studying aviation history and I enjoy collecting aviation items from before WWI to the present that I can research.

I have two Luftwaffe pilot’s licenses that I have been trying to research. One is from Hugo Ostermann of Luftlandesgeschwader 1 (LLG1). I would very much like to find our more about this squadron and particularly on Ostermann and greatly appreciate it if anyone could direct me to furthering my research with this unit and this pilot?

My second request is if anyone can direct me to researching another pilot, Kurt Langer (I may be reading his name wrong). He does not appear in my research on LW officers and my suspicion is that he began his flying career as an unterofficier??? Any help in furthering this research would be greatly appreciated.

I can send scans of both licenses. This is the first time that I have tried to use this forum and I have not figured out how to post the picture.

If you reply, please send me a direct e-mail when you post to the forum so that I do not miss your post.

Re: LW pilot license inquiry.

There is an Unteroffizier Kurt Langer in the Kracker Archive - served with 3./KG-30 and killed in November 1943 near Naples.

Ju 88A-4
Werk # 142246
4D+EL

But there are other Langer's in the archive with an unknown forename.

Re: LW pilot license inquiry.

Hello and thanks for your reply. I don't think that is the same Kurt Langer. My Kurt Langer was born 26.3.21 and promoted 1.1.44 The last time his license was endorsed was on 13.4.45 by (Prinz??) for certification on Ju. 188
