Bf-110 S9+EM 4./ ZG1 engine cowling hatch

I recently acquired this engine cowling hatch which came from Bf 110 D-3 W.Nr. 4281 S9+EM of 4./ ZG1 lost near Stalingrad.
It would be greatly appreciated if anyone has any information on the possible position of this hatch on the plane itself. Length is 10,5 cm, width 8,5 cm.

Regards
Kristjan

Perhaps the small panel outlined in white?

Thank you for your comments guys. I thought myself like you Revi16 that it could be the smal panel outlined in white. Maybe a fuel hatch from the wing is also a possibility.

I thought that red means extinguishing agent and yellow is fuel. By the way, I found that red paint on the lock on most of my hatches.

Thank you for your comment. I see that the hatch from your thrid photo looks very similiar to mine. Have you any idea about the possible location of these hatches, are the circular ones located on the wing?

100% cowling...

Also, the red marking has nothing to do with systems ID. Most hatches has a red marking painted on the latch (where one pushes to open it)

It's difficult to say if there's no part number. There's many similar looking hatches which are located elsewhere. I have part numbers only on two of my hatches (Do 217 and perhaps Ju 188).
