501 Sqdn Spitfire vs Ju88 records. Research request.
501 Sqdn Spitfire losses vs Ju88 loss records?
Research request for: Spitfire, Mk.Vb AB179 SD-? Spitfire, Mk.Vb AB251 SD-? Spitfire, Mk.Vb W3840 SD-? Spitfire, Mk.Vb BL974 SD-? Spitfire, Mk.Vb W3894 SD-? I am NOT an expert at Lufwaffe claims. I would like to see accuracy in these five 501 Sqdn losses, and the loss included at http://lostaircraft.com for: Storm's Ju88 (no loss posted there yet) for cross reference purposes. Secondly, I would like to include the full crew of Storm's Ju88 and pictures of him - and / or the BF 100s that may have claimed the 4 other RAF 501 Squadron aircraft. References: Archived thread here: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/archiv...p?t-16852.html and http://www.absa3945.com/Pertes%20Bre...finistere.html I welcome you to dive into the http://lostaircraft.com/database.php and accurately edit these and any other loss records there. Many are still missing. Work is progressing on these, but again, your assistance is welcomed. |

Re: 501 Sqdn Spitfire vs Ju88 records. Research request.
Ian Blair said he was a victim of III/JG 2 as opposed to Flak and crash-landed at Worth Matravers. I also thought he was 501 as opposed to 118 Sqn. I did some reasearch into 25 Apr 42 for Ian and have photos of most of the 501 Sqn casualties.
Curious that Ian's Jan 44 victim gets a mention on the same Board page! |
