8/NJG1 loss 17-Dec-44
Seeking crew names for Bf110 G9+CS its Bs was the subject of ADI(K) report 684/1944 with no crew names show. The aircraft was hit by AA and the order to bale out given the Bs coming down 20 miles north of Maastricht at 1900hrs on 17th.Dec. ADI(K) Further Report 705/1944 then shows that the unnamed Bf was later taken prisoner but no sign of the pilot or aircraft was found, any more details appreciated,

Re: 8/NJG1 loss 17-Dec-44
Chris,
Thanks for looking this up although I do not think this one is in Michael's book. It would appear that the Bs and Bf, as named in Fran's answer, baled out over Allied territory and were taken prisoner while the pilot Ofhr. Stocker either flew home, after regaining control or baled out over German territory and returned to his unit, Regards Brian Bines |
